Find the local address#

Your router gives the server a private local IP address using DHCP. The connected monitor may show something like 192.168.1.50. That number is only an example; yours will differ.

On another device connected to the same home network, type the displayed address into the browser address bar:

address
http://192.168.1.50

You can also try http://zimaos.local, use ZimaClient from the official ZimaOS download page, or open the router app’s connected-device list and look for a new wired device.

Create the first account#

Follow the ZimaOS onboarding screen, choose your language, then create a unique administrator username and a strong password. Store it in a password manager. This account controls the server and should not be shared casually.

When the page does not load#

The browser says it cannot connect

Confirm the phone or laptop is on home Wi-Fi—not cellular data or a guest network. Recheck the address on the monitor and Ethernet link lights. Wait five minutes for first boot.

The browser forces HTTPS

Type the full http:// address. If HTTPS-only mode rewrites it, use another browser temporarily or add a local-site exception. Do not ignore certificate warnings on unrelated public sites.

Devices cannot see each other

Guest Wi-Fi and “AP/client isolation” intentionally block local devices. Put both devices on the normal home network. Some routers also separate IoT networks.
